On skinny dipping.

My friends down the street were out of town for several months, working.
I said I'd check out the house and take care of their pool, forward mail, etc. while they were gone.

I was scooping leaves and such on hot day, checking the salt level, wearing shorts and a T shirt.

It was damned hot and that pool sure looked inviting.
It's fairly secluded so I thought "What the hell?".
On the patio behind the house I stripped down and jumped in.
Fabulous!

I was backstroking along, just enjoying myself, when I heard the older (my age) lady next door yell "TROF! YOU BETTER PUT A BATHING SUIT ON!"

Aw crap.
Really?
I couldn't see her, and I couldn't see how she could see me.

So I yelled "BETTY! COME ON OVER!"
I got no reply.

I later ran into her at a party and she insisted that she didn't really see 'anything'.
So why did she screw up my nice swim?
Busybody.

I knew I'd have a pool for the whole summer.
They're close friends and I'd have done it anyway.

It was ideal.
There was an outdoor kitchen/grill on one end of the patio.
With an ice machine.
The whole thing was screened in.
No bugs.

Miz t. and I would go down at 4 p.m. with a bottle of Scotch and glasses.
Portable radio to listen to NPR.

Fix drinks and laze in the pool.
Good times.

Are you sure that wasn't an insult?

I'm kidding, I just couldn't resist.
