Writing from my hospital bed. My gastric bypass surgery was yesterday

and I feel really good today! No nausea or vomiting at all, and my pain level is minimal, thanks to the Dilaudid and liquid Oxycodone they're giving me. My surgeon said that if I'm still feeling this good tomorrow, I can probably go home!

I admit, I'm shocked. I expected to be in terrible pain with loads of nausea, vomiting, and misery. Instead, I barely feel like there's anything wrong at all. I am incredibly fortunate.

Anyway, just wanted to check in with everyone here. Now the fun part begins--watching all of this excess fat finally fall off of my body for good! Woohoo!

I know this was not an easy step to take. I know it was hard to prepare for. But now it's behind you, and you're on your way to better health. (Sorry, I sound like a commercial.)

Best of luck in the days to come!
