I couldn't believe he knocked the other guy right on his moosie ass. So much power.

There are two times of the year when you have to really check yourself with the moose around here - springtime when the babies are born, and fall when the males are rutting. You just don't want to get in the middle of any of that.

6. I have a moose trail running through my property

runs along the side of my house and crosses my arena pasture.

I've heard moose on it, but after 12 years have yet to see any. Deer, coyotes, porcupines, turkeys, yes. But the moose stay out of sight...so far. They do sometimes get loud this time of year, though.

My next door neighbor, on the other hand, told me he was sitting in his living room watching teevee one night and felt like he was being watched. Looked up and a moose had his face in the living room window staring at him. Or maybe watching teevee with him, who knows?
