it's black as midnight by 5pm here. Another month and it will be black by 4:30 pm.

Thank goodness the sun is finally rising at 7am. Before daylight savings, it wasn't up until 8am. Another month and it won't rise until 7:30 am here.

Forget the torches and pitchforks. Hibernation season is upon us.

I live 90 miles to the south in Richmond. My job regularly takes me to Portland.

On Sundays when I have to work at 6:00 a.m. - 4:45 pm it's dark when I get up and dark when I get off. Sigh.
