Glanced out a back window at just the right moment. He came in from the woods through the arena pasture. I watched him cross the pasture, cross the little bridge to the pasture, detour to the burn pile to sniff around, then turned and headed for the barn!
It's definitely him and not the grey tiger/tabby that visited while he was still crated. I could see his distinctive buff bars on his neck, shoulders and side.
He looked extra-fluffy and happy. I've increased the amount of dinner I'm leaving for him and Oaksley. Yesterday Oaksley downed his breakfast all at once -- it usually lasts him until nearly dinner. Same thing today -- Oaksley ate nearly double his normal breakfast.

I used bring my prior to kitties inside and keep them in the dog crate if it was going below zero in winter. I'll have to trap Neptune to do that. I don't think it's going to get that bad this year, though.
Hmm...I have a couple suitable plastic boxes already, along with plenty of hay. Need to get a styrofoam cooler. Dam, meant to bring one home from the lab before they dumped me, but forgot to.
