The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThank you all for your kind words in my interview thread. I have more good news.
The guy who interviewed me called me today to see if I could do a pre-employment drug screen and D.O.T. physical. Pending the results, I think I'll get a job offer. Employers don't usually spend that kind of money on you unless they want to hire you.
I did the physical and everything was okay. I have a letter saying that, in the doctor's opinion, I am fit enough to handle the work to go along with my certification. It's a pretty physical job. I won't be suffering from a lack of exercise. The drug test results will be okay, too, although they don't know that yet.
I appreciate everyone's support. You all are very kind.

He loved it and it was a very sad day in our lives when he could no longer do this.
