Football and the good tire

Some of you may know that I am an adjunct college government teacher (history and govt.) except that I couldn't get any classes this year because the of cutbacks. My wife is a college govt. teacher at a state university full time, but no tenure.

We overheard on the radio a news item about the new football assistant coach that has been picked up by the University of Texas for $875,000.

At the time we were sitting in the lobby of Discount Tires trying to determine if we were able to afford the good tire or not.

How much do you think you can make for your services and how many times will you have to do it to afford the good tire?

It would be nice if we valued education as much as entertainment in our society.
