These are supposedly wolf-poodle hybrids
These are wolf-Labrador hybrids that looked cute so I'm posting them.

(72,300 posts)Private ownership of wolf hybrids is illegal in some states.
These are Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Wyoming.
Zoos, educational institutions, circuses and other organizations are often exempt, but permits are not issued to private citizens.

(16,383 posts)As for the name, back to the drawing board; none of the above roll off the tongue. Poodle is fun to say and should be in there somewhere.

(72,300 posts)It was heartbreaking.
The owner of the lab found homes for most of the pups. Her two puppies never ran free. Ten long years. The wolf genes were dominate in appearance and behavior. They were well fed and when they weren't in her home (on a leash) for the night they were kept in a pen made of chain-link fencing on the top and sides. They had a specially built shelter.
But, in my opinion, it just wasn't right.

(10,164 posts)...how much I loath those awful "mash-up" breed names (like "labradoodle," etc.).

(5,790 posts)We somehow got on the topic of those names, and I started to ponder what would happen if you had a cross-bred Coyote/Poodle mix. I came up with those three names. I half expected to hear someone actually knew a technically correct answer.
