man, they gotta start banning these things. Kids, 17, racing them around the park and whap, hit in the leg. Left a good size welt on me. Not a small one, a mid sized one as far as drones go.
Told the kid to call his parents and I would give it back to him. Dad was not happy.

(36,827 posts)Very soon flights like this will be illegal if the drones aren't registered and operators will have to comply with the rules which include safe operation around people. Those who don't will be facing very stiff fines. You probably did this kid's dad a big favor, but I suspect if he's dumb enough to turn a child loose with one of those things he probably won't give much of a shit about the rules until he's forced to pay up.
