A willing suspension of disbelief...

A villain (or hero) is whacked in the head with a 3" crowbar.
They not only survive, there's not a mark on them.

An automatic pistol that you can hold in your hand holds 100 or more rounds.


A villain is slugged in the head with a 3' Stilson wrench


and not only survives, he continues to fight.

What can one say?
