away. Had to clear some of the driveway with the roof rake last Sunday.

While the school districts around me had snow days the one I work in 30 miles away never got enough snow to have a snow day, dagnabit. Maybe this time.

We're scheduled for rain and 50ish here in Maine. My snow shovel is still out. My snow scooper is still in the barn. And just to be safe, I bought a new ice scraper/snow brush on sale at the supermarket just last week.

I'll probably brave it and put them all away in a couple months. I figure by June it should be safe

I vaguely remember leaving it behind about 14 years ago.

Now, hurricanes. That's a different story.

The cold is good too. It keeps the plants from coming out too early.

$2 for a six-pack, and a whopper of a headache the next day. Ahh... my misspent youth.

Used to sit on a stonewall and stare at the sunset with a good friend while we passed one of those quart bottles back and forth. Upstate NY was a great place to be a kid in the 70s. Some weekends, when we felt "fancy", we'd trade off the screamers for quarts of something called Malt Duck.

Took them awhile to plow, guess they weren't expecting it. But that's not unusual here in the Northeast corner. We had a blizzard last year at about the same time and I can remember one as late as May...

I *told* him to leave the snow shovels on the front porch, but HE decided to put them away.

BOOM! It starts snowing!
