Though I'm making Bo Ssam - slow cooked pork Korean style.

Should be ready in a couple of hours - ginger scallion sauce and Ssam sauce - hot chili paste -

We are having potato, spinach soup tonight though, wonderfully simple to make and very tasty.

Best pizza I've ever had.
They build it, you take it home and bake it.
Deliscioso!

Possibly soy-riblets and 2/3 BBQ-appropriate sides. And a kosher Coke.

or

Chili and cornbread. Also with a kosher coke.

or

Something else that will jump-out and say "Eat me!!"

I buy Morningstar and I love those things. I add yellow mustard, sliced Vidalia onions and dill hamburger chips and serve on a crusty French roll. Sweet potato fries are good with them and extra BBQ sauce makes a great fry sauce.

I remove as much of the crappy BBQ sauce they use as I can and slather on whatever better BBQ sauce I have on-hand and a little liquid smoke. I've never thought of making a sandwich out of them. (I think it has to do with hating the cafeteria rib-sandwich growing up.) I usually eat them with a fork.

I found the most excellent "sauce" for salmon burgers, 1/3 mayo, 1/3 horseradish, 1/3 chili sauce. I let it sit for an hour or so in the fridge before dinner - its got a kick but its so delicious.... (of course you can modify proportions to make it less spicy....)

My best friend and his wife are "coming to rescue me". I'll be able to stay at their place rent free as long as I need to. Just need to figure out everything else like legal fees and rent debt. I'm outa money til I get my last check on Friday so I'm pretty hungry and still a bit down in the dumps but I've kinda evened out from where I was.

couple more days - is there a food bank in the area?

Jack has 2 for buck tacos here and I have heard of 3 for a buck in the big city. Maybe some hole in the wall would trade some meals for a clean-up job or something?

with a white gravy?

Of the sort that would be appropriate over a chicken fried steak or a plate of biscuits, generally labeled as "country gravy" if you purchase it in packet form at Safeway?

If so, then I can probably appreciate it. If its brown and turkey/beef/mushroom flavored, then probably not as much, no.
