Itsy Bitsy Spider
...my latest Baltic amber acquisition. This specimen is from Poland. The spider is in “clean” amber; that is, there aren’t many other inclusions.
In the close-up picture, you can see what are likely movement waves from the spider having tried to free itself from the sticky tree resin that would ultimately harden into amber. Poor little creature.
