If so, did it work? What was that like?
My son's thinking about it but he can't try them out because the closest optical shop that sells them is in CA.

It is a very emotional experience.....

(135,425 posts)are kind of expensive, but for the value received I'm betting most feel they're worth it. It's probably like sitting in the movie theater watching The Wizard of Oz go from black and white to color, times a thousand!

It's quite amazing that someone figured this out and marketed it!

(115,677 posts)He traced the trail on the page of the testing book and I looked in amazement, couldn't see what he saw. I did the same and couldn't see what I saw. I wonder if he has gotten to try these glasses. It would be amazing, suddenly seeing those different colors. Overwhelming for sure.

(1,136 posts)I cannot imagine what it would be like to not see all the beautiful colors in the world. Watching these two experience it for the first time was just great. I got teary eyed, too.

(135,425 posts)They're already working on helping people who are blind to see--some conditions can be helped, with those esight glasses:
And those cochlear implants for the hearing impaired--these are things that didn't exist when I was a kid.
