Has anyone tried, or know someone who's tried, special glasses for color blindness?

If so, did it work? What was that like?

My son's thinking about it but he can't try them out because the closest optical shop that sells them is in CA.

It worked to the point of being almost too much with some of them.

It is a very emotional experience.....

are kind of expensive, but for the value received I'm betting most feel they're worth it. It's probably like sitting in the movie theater watching The Wizard of Oz go from black and white to color, times a thousand!

People who were color blind were stuck living with it.

It's quite amazing that someone figured this out and marketed it!

He traced the trail on the page of the testing book and I looked in amazement, couldn't see what he saw. I did the same and couldn't see what I saw. I wonder if he has gotten to try these glasses. It would be amazing, suddenly seeing those different colors. Overwhelming for sure.

I cannot imagine what it would be like to not see all the beautiful colors in the world. Watching these two experience it for the first time was just great. I got teary eyed, too.

They're already working on helping people who are blind to see--some conditions can be helped, with those esight glasses:

And those cochlear implants for the hearing impaired--these are things that didn't exist when I was a kid.
