Another tip-off?

You're not spending Xmas, Thanksgiving, or any major holidays with your beloved.

People are just much more open and honest about companionship and sex.

It's okay for married people to talk to their spouses and say "I really just need a little strange in my life." Maybe they think they'd enjoy that too?

All I know is since I started viewing "poly" as something I am (not something I do. This is part of my identity.), I've become much less tolerant of cheaters and cheating. It's not that hard to just be honest; your SO either wants the same things you want or they don't. Your relationship isn't going to be stronger for avoiding the conflict or lying.

a friend dated a guy much younger. They never went out. Never met his friends. Even though they talked about moving in together, they only "dated" at his apartment.

After almost a year of this, she got fed up. He finally said even though he loved her, he was embarrassed about what his friends and family would think because she was really overweight.

Ouch. The buck stopped there. Another word is more appropriate but too crude for the lounge.
