(12,618 posts)On a side note, can't wait to see the new IT. My favorite Stephen King book. And while the 1990 miniseries wasn't bad, you can never truly do the story justice within the confines of network TV.

What a story!
I really enjoyed the miniseries, unforgettable characters! Not exactly the book-ending, though.

(12,618 posts)As I understand it, Stephen King was pretty disappointed in it too, which is why they're re-making it now. Too many people were left with the impression that IT was nothing more than a giant spider with magical powers. The book makes it quite clear that IT is much, much, more than that.

Part of the genius of this particular Stephen King novel.
