I used to do the LA to Seattle run. About that far, and that long for someone in decent shape. If I was to do it now, it would take me 36 hours, at least.

Funny, I was about to weigh in with the same thing, except in reverse. We'd leave at 3:30 AM with an ill-tempered, groggy cat who would considerately use the litterbox within 2 minutes of departure, thus assuring us of maximum pleasure from the bouquet. We'd cross into California just about exactly at noon and get to Long beach between 8 and 9 PM.

Fun times.
