So we just closed on our first house!

But life is bittersweet since my brother in law passed on Thursday.

I know he would want us to not worry about him and he'd want others to be happy.

I am happy, we are happy but... It's so bittersweet. Like, this is the MEANING of the word.

We miss him. But we're also happy. He'd want it that way.

I love the sense of no more landlord, no more moving.
Despite the fact you have to do your own fixing up, it still is a most secure feeling.

I would have advised you NOT to look at that bottom line, how much you will be paying in 30 years with the interest. It is truly shocking.
