Then it would still be weird, but there would be some logic to it.

Then everyone is shout/singing the thing in unison. Is it supposed to be some anti-establishment take? Like driving a a Toyota is outside the norm? Which of course, it's completely inside the norms.

It's just so out of place that i find it annoying.

it's about the freedom to do what you want to do, drive what you want to drive. Would be more interesting if we were already in the era of self driving cars. Then again what do I know. I've never driven a car or applied for a license to do so.

They're not competing against that yet. And, the freedom to drive what you want? Not getting how the song applies because we can do that in any car. What makes this car different?

That's my problem with this commercial. It's not selling anything we don't already have in any car. That's just stupid advertising. They're selling something that isn't for sale and already achievable without buying a Toyota.

and not prone to expensive repairs, maybe they are refering to not being "owned" by high car payments.
