I've been to the airport a few times, but they just restored the terminal last year and it's the first time I've been inside.

Got to New Orleans once, driving, hot to see Bourbon Street, but our hosts couldn't do it so we missed it.

Probably just as well--I would have made an ass of myself for sure.

I can't think of too many better places.

I come here every now and then. Mostly for the food and atmosphere.

The more recent remodeling restored most of it back to its former glory days. The airport was busy on Friday. I was #5 for landing, and I shared the pattern with Fifi. The tower told me to give way to the Superfortress.
I leave tomorrow and it's supposed to be busy again. Lots of airshow traffic.
