and a few others shows are a break from real life. Since I started on DU in 2003, I tended to avoid the primary wars of 2008 and 2016, and never really supported anybody in 2004. (I'm going to vote for the Democrat in the end, so it would not have mattered if it was Dean, Kerry, Edwards, etc, to me in 2004...)

that her kissing Carl wasn't the Kiss of Death for her - a lot of the main characters seem to lose loved ones.
