Holiday joke
A couple was at the mall just before Christmas. They had a lot to do before the holiday. All of a sudden, the wife noticed that her husband was missing. She couldn't do the shopping alone, so she called him on her cell phone.
The husband answered, "Hi, honey."
"Where are you?" the wife asked. "You know we have lots to do."
The husband replied, "Honey, do you remember the jewelry shop we visited right before we got married? The place where you fell in love with that diamond necklace?"
The wife's voice softened. "Yes... yes... I remember."
The husband continued. "You remember I didn't have much money at the time? But I promised that someday I'd come back to the shop and buy it for you?"
Little tears started to flow down the wife's cheek. Choked up, she answered, "Yes, I do remember that shop."
"Well," said the husband, "I'm at the bar right next to it."
