I've also met some who are mean, intolerant, or just going through the motions.

The Father Mulcahy character was one of the good ones, and I enjoyed his interactions with the staunchly Methodist Colonel Potter.

My family was nothing like that. Religious warfare was a blood sport; we were like Northern Ireland during the Troubles and some of my siblings grew up loathing all religion.
