Let's find our Favorite Songs of Hope and Optimism!

The Call- "Let The Day Begin"

Lyrics
Here's to the babies in a brand new world
Here's to the beauty of the stars
Here's to the travelers on the open road
Here's to the dreamers in the bars

Here's to the teachers in the crowded rooms
Here's to the workers in the fields
Here's to the preachers of the sacred words
Here's to the drivers at the wheel

Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin
Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin, let the day begin

Here's to the winners of the human race
Here's to the losers in the game
Here's to the soldiers of the bitter war
Here's to the wall that bears their names

Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin
Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Let the day begin, let the day begin, let the day start

Here's to the doctors and their healing work
Here's to the loved ones in their care
Here's to the strangers on the streets tonight
Here's to the lonely everywhere

Here's to the wisdom from the mouths of babes
Here's to the lions in the cage
Here's to the struggles of the silent war
Here's to the closing of the age.

Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin
Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Let the day begin

Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Let the day begin
Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin, let the day begin, let the day start

I wonder how he feels about that now.

Thank You-my brother used to blast this song, then my best friend used to play the intro on her guitar all the time.
It's incredible

and he didn't play that or even mention it but I gather from other interviews that he might be a bit bored with it now lol.

But he did play several old Zep tunes in wonderfully new and deliciously weird arrangements. I dig what he's doing nowadays even if it isn't the hammer of the gods of yore.

He has been so prolific, it must be a challenge for him to choose set lists for his concerts. I prefer a lot of his solo work to most (not all) of Led Leppelin's songs, and he does amazing things with covers of many artists. I could listen to him all day and never be bored.

And it was a nearly completely different show every time. Lol, the only time it was the same is when I saw Page & Plant twice on the same tour in 98. And even then there were differences in the two shows.

Led Zep was my first musical love and will always be my favorite even though I don't listen to them as much now as I used to. I love everything the individual member have done solo too - even that weird shit JPJ did with Diamanda Galas.

Ha, I just ordered a new Led Zep decal for my truck. My grandpa gave me his truck a few months ago and it's been feeling naked without a Zep sticker. That's the longest a vehicle of mine has gone without some type of Zep adornment since about 1982.

"You'll Never Walk Alone"

Introduced in the 1945 musical, Carousel

Composer(s)
Richard Rodgers

Lyricist(s)
Oscar Hammerstein II

"You'll Never Walk Alone" is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel. In the second act of the musical, Nettie Fowler, the cousin of the female protagonist Julie Jordan, sings "You'll Never Walk Alone" to comfort and encourage Julie when her husband, Billy Bigelow, the male lead, commits suicide after a failed robbery attempt. It is reprised in the final scene to encourage a graduation class of which Louise (Billy and Julie's daughter) is a member. The now invisible Billy, who has been granted the chance to return to Earth for one day in order to redeem himself, watches the ceremony and is able to silently motivate the unhappy Louise to join in the song.

Everybody says that the living is easy
I can barely see cause my head's in the way
Tigers walk behind me, they are to remind me that
I'm lost, but I'm not afraid

Soul to soul, A kiss and a sigh
Sawed in half, by the passage of time
Halfway home, from a window you see
Chains and bars, but I am still free

People on the outside, I remember sweet times
This old rose, is always in bloom
Everybody's happy, to be a baby daddy
Stone love, with nothing to lose

Life is long, if you give it away
So stay, don't go, cause I'm fading away
Soul to soul, between you and me
Chain me down, but I am still free

Now I can say, those three little words
And every day, I'm dreaming a world
Soul to soul, a kiss and a sigh
Holding back, the waters outside.

Life is long, if you give it away
So stay, don't go, cause I'm fading away
Soul to soul, between you and me
Chain me down, but I am still free
