She took a lot of criticism since she didn't get a new dress, but wore the same gown she wore for the gubernatorial inauguration. Jimmy approved, said she looked beautiful...

6. I kinda remember Pat Nixon

I don't think she took such a prominent public role as our more recent First Ladies. I'm most familiar with Mrs. Carter since I just finished listening to President Carter's book, "A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety," on audio. It's a fascinating account, learned a lot I never knew before and realized how much he agrees with the progressive ideas we have today. And he talked about the controversy over Rosalyn's already-worn ball gown. And he certainly has led a full life, didn't get to discussing his presidency until disc #5!

I just came back, had issues with my email, but I finally managed it. And I know I have a full inbox... I'm depressed and scared as much as anyone here after the results of the election, am still hoping to wake up!
