labrum surgery in 3 hours

3. Take pain meds as prescribed to stay ahead of the pain: don't wait for pain

before taking meds.

Get off the pain meds as soon as you can--switch to whatever doc recommends as step down from narcotics--
but give yourself a couple of days before trying to do that.

5. operation went well

have gone from one painkiller every 4 hours to one half a painkiller every 4 hrs skippinng the 2 a.m. feeding altogether.

dont see the doc for 8 more days, so i'm not sure what i should be looking for
