Today, I had breakfast in France, lunch in Belgium, and will have dinner in Germany (all work related).
My idea of a break is 3 days in a row in the same country!

About 10 years ago, my father and I had a three country excursion, starting in Germany, with an afternoon in Amsterdam and ending with a train ride to Brussels, Belgium. It was all fun touristy stuff, so I can understand your wanting to stay put for a while!

Week after next, I have to be back in the USA for a bit, and get three days in a row in Dallas and then another three in Langley, VA/Washington D.C. (almost one city). Almost like two mini-vacations back to back!

With three consecutive days, I hope you do some down time to relax. I've never been to Dallas, but I remember DC being so full of great historical sights, I could not fit everything in with three days!

One of the first (and last) to run a one-man Washington office as a correspondent for a paper from a one horse town. His was in upstate New York. He used to take me up the Capitol when I was a kid, and introduce me to his friends who all had the same weird first name. My friends were all named Jimmy, Billy. Bobby, etc. His friends were all named "Senator." What did I know?

Did you ever meet Senator Kennedy? Or anyone else make an impression beyond the weird first name?

I still have an autographed photo of Bobby Sr. made out to my dad "with high regard."

Bobby Kennedy had an absolutely stunning receptionist in his Senate office with just a radiant personality. Her name was Brandi, and as a 15 year old, I used to flirt with her like mad until one sad day when she confessed to me that she was getting married. I asked her if she couldn't at least wait for me to complete my way through puberty, but she apologized and said she had waited as long as she could (or something like that). I never saw her after 1968, but if she's still with the guy she married, I'll bet he's one of the happiest 75 year old guys on earth.
