I'd like to learn a Martian art. Any suggestions?

Is "grokking" really all it's cracked up to be?

I should rather like to learn how to sit at the bottom of a swimming pool for a few hours, but I don't suppose that's a very marketable skill.

1. Is farming potatoes in human feces an art form?

Sitting at the bottom of a swimming pool for hours is easy.

As long as nobody thinks to fill it with water. That ruins the whole experience.

2. I suppose it would depend on how and where the fecal farming took place.

On Mars, done as Matt Damon did it, it probably counts.

In Idaho, done by me, not so much.

You, my friend, are too clever by half.

That is an excellent idea for a performance art piece.

Then you'll be ready to go see the Martian wise men and take up their techniques.

Or take up this kind of sand art:

I can't fathom the amount of talent and patience it must take to develop a skill like that.

15. YouTube has a number of pieces by that artist and ones by other artists

Some of the artists do images that create a story rather than just a theme. They are amazing!

I could never do that kind of work - just would not be able to have the stability to have clean lines. I do needlework because I can usually rip out mistakes and do the area over!

We didn't have internet or smartphones as kids, but we did get Looney Tunes in their prime.

I (barely) recognized Martian Manhunter, but the cannibalism reference went over my head.

What's the connection?

I binged the first season last month & am looking forward to season 2.

Am digging the near future, fairly realistic space setting.
