Trump's Presidency has killed a movie-genre, but it has also created a new one.

The genre Trump killed:
"Oh No! Did you hear that politician say that? His career is over!"
"Oh No! This must never ever become public or the politician will have to resign in disgrace!"

Those days are gone. Now, whatever scandal threatens a movie-politician, the suspense is gone because Trump is the perfect example for getting away with the most embarassing and corrupt behavior.

The genre Trump created:
Up until now, when there was bad guy in the US-government it was an evil General, or an evil Senator, or an evil Vice-President, or an evil head of the Secret Service, or an evil head of the CIA... The bad guy was never the President. The President was always the pillar of honor on which the government rested and the plot of the evil guy was to circumvent/dethrone/kill/kidnap the President.

Those days are gone. Now, a plot where the hero must save the country from an evil US-President is perfectly imaginable.

Any brave, strong, honorable and intelligent male or female will do please... or maybe 'WE the people' are the heroes we need.

His wife, played by Robin Wright is equally evil.

Last season ended with them being in very serious trouble so they made the networks air the beheading of someone by terrorists so they could start a war to deflect off themselves.

Pretty evil. Wonderful to watch. I love Kevin Spacey playing bad guys.

...he was clearly based on Nixon, and there was no redeeming value whatever to him. Thank God Jack Bauer was there to save America from him...
