Do you have a few hours?

Would you like to hear them in alphabetical or chronological order?

One of my friends, who I let try an ounce of weed to, decided to give it back to me, since she didn't smoke it. She was paranoid about someone calling the Police on her, and I kept telling her that weed is no longer illegal In California. Anyway, long story short, was I ran out of weed, and having this nugget come back to me, came just as I smoked up my last ounce. Now I can last out the week before payday, and buy some more legal weed soon!

Stuff is strong too, made me very sleepy, (I have insomnia sometimes) and I got in a great nap. Gotta love the legal weed! Ask Juju!

And the Heartbreakers concert at Red Rocks tonight. Great show. Too tired to shower when I got back to our hotel room and my spouse just told me my hair smells like weed. Sigh.

so was the venue. Joe Walsh opened for him. There was lots more extra curricular smoking activity than I've ever witnessed out in the open. Holy hell. I'm getting old!!

Most of the crowd was "well seasoned". My 12 year old want impressed, however. I'll have to debrief him on the flight home tomorrow. I haven't seen Dirty Dancing 2017 yet...have to check it out.

We're both big fans.

If you do watch DD2017, pretend it's all new. Otherwise you'll compare - everyone has - and you'll come away wondering how you let Solly Mack talk you into wasting 3 hours (yes, 3 hours) of your life.

But not because it's good.

Because you'll need to vent and the ending will bring it on like nothing else in the made for TV movie.

I'm all about a bad movie as long as it's really really bad...as in everyone knows it blows and can enjoy it for what it is. I'm a huge Sharknado fan for that reason. 🦈

I don't think the people involved in DD2017 knew it was bad.

I felt bad for the newcomers in the flick. Not-so-much for the big names.

At first I was happy that the actors playing ballet dancers were real dancers, not stand-ins doing the dancing, and they did a good job. But the story! Incest, murder, sexual assault, sex trafficking, prostitution, drug addiction, sexual harassment, strip clubs, mental and physical illness, sabotage: TOO MUCH for one season. I just wanted to see some dancing. Arrgh.

The worst thing for me, just setting aside the gross stuff, was when the main character, who sleeps with open books spread over her and is said to love books, tearfully explains that her favorite book is "The Velveteen Rabbit" and she wants to be just like the rabbit. A children's book provides her life's philosophy. And someone shoves a book at her as a gift saying, "I know you love books." As if any book will do. Just grab any book, they're all the same. But it was a thick book and our dancer likes children's books.

I hated it and yet watched the whole thing.

I saw a story on Nightline about Dirty Dancing 2017 and it looked horrible. Why hire non-dancers for dancer roles? The woman who played Baby seemed to have had a terrible time learning to dance.

DD2017 was a horrible remake. I did wonder if they tailored it for young people but then thought less of young people (if such was the case) in my next thought, so I nixed that idea.

I think young people are great, so that leaves only a poor production of an old favorite.
