Frog rain at last!

I live next to some BLM land that has a cattle pond, maybe an acre.
We've had some rain, but not enough to fill the pond---until today.
We had a gully-washer this afternoon, and when it let up I went outside and
heard the roar of the frogs--the pond has water in it. The frog's roar sounds like
a large motor. It'll last for days. Water, water water. It's grand!
Happy frogs.

residual moisture and wait until the water covers the cracks and then they
come out to mate. It's loud, there are thousands of them croaking for love.
