A geopolitical simulaton set in the year 2001
http://eregime.org/index.php?c=1016455A friend of mine is running it. It hasn't formally started yet, but it's very easy to get into. Almost every user on the forum identifies as part of the left in some way, from self-described liberals and social-democrats to socialists.
To quote from the rules thread:
War on Terror is a geopolitical role-playing game designed to simulate the intrigue of the War on Terror. Much like the War on Terror, there are no particular victory conditions; you are free to pursue whatever goals you desire. Turns revolve on a weekly basis, and simulate of one month of game-time. Players adopt one of the available political or intelligence roles (or one of the single-player leadership roles).
