Had a friend who had a big, friendly, furry malamute. We'd be playing cards at the kitchen table with the dog underneath, and all of a sudden this incredible stench would waft upwards and we'd have to vacate the room.

I was testing experimental batches of rubber in a rheometer, which heats samples to cure temp (quite hot), and even with ventilation, it could get smelly (sulfuric). One sample, however, contained an ingredient which gave off an aroma exactly like cinnamon. As I was frying this sample of cinnamon-scented rubber, a grad student walked past. In an accent comparable to Raj on Big Bang Theory, he said, 'Mmmm! That one is pleasant!' A little while later, I was back to the garden-variety stinkers and, since nobody was around, I released a sizable quantity of intestinal effluence into the atmosphere. It was quite horrifying - even by my own standards. I thought to myself that I was glad smelly substances were already in the air and that nobody else was around. Suddenly, the grad student sauntered into the room and exclaimed (again, the Raj accent), 'That one does not smell so good; it smells like DOOKIE!' It was all I could do to keep a straight face.
