Any Dick Van Dyke Show fans, out there? Today is Rose Marie's 94th Birthday!

To be honest, I had no idea she was still with us! And, when I read up on her bio, WOW, she had an amazing career, and was working right up to 2013.

I can remember, hers was my favorite character when I watched The Dick Van Dyke Show as a preschooler. It was in syndication, and came on after Captain Kangaroo in the mornings. (late 60's)

When the Mary Tyler Moore show came out they were originally going to cast her as a divorcee but they were concerned people would think she had divorced Rob.

Baby Rose Marie was featured in that movie, and sang some Blues tune like she owned it. She also was one of the opening acts when Bugsy Siegel's Flamingo Hotel opened in Vegas, and always held her own with Morey Amsterdam in the Dick Van Dyke show.

She's certainly had an interesting career and no doubt interesting life. Hope I make it to 94.

Of course you have to know how to stagger it.

Anyone sampling this thread most certainly would.

Watched it as a kid, and I've been re-watching it now on Netflix.

I love the back and forth between Buddy and Sally. They were the original Jack and Karen!!! LOL
