"The Body" = "Stand by Me" (four amazing child stars, including River Phoenix who was taken from us WAY too soon)
"Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" = "The Shawshank Redemption" (just "wow!" that's all)
"Apt Pupil" (movie the same name) Sir Ian McKellen and Brad Renfro (another one who died too soon)

There was a fourth story, "The Breathing Method" that I don't remember anything about. I may have to re-read it one of these days.

I think the reason that "Stand By Me" affected me so deeply was that the four boys were exactly the age I was in 1959, and I could totally relate to everything they experienced (culturally, not the pistol nor the body)

since it's basically a story-within-a-story.

I'd watch the hell out of it if someone ever got around to making it into a movie, though.
