I was going to go to the late movie after work tonight but decided to wait until tomorrow. Never read the book, but the first one scared me to death. For anyone who has seen it, what did you think?

(12,383 posts)Brilliant, amazing, cant say enough. Let this be a message to Hollywood,
Hire kid actors to play Kids.
This movie worked, because they didnt hire 19-23 year olds to play 13 year olds.
The kids made this movie, they spoke and look like your typical teenage kids from the
80's.
The movie had frights, parts were scary, but it was also very very sad, very very sweet and
very very funny.
Stayed true to the book with of course a few scenes different.
Best movie with actors of that age since Stand by me.

(5,914 posts)It still seemed weird and uncomfortable, given that the actors are kids. Was that in the book?

(63,220 posts)I'm glad(dish) that they kept it, modifying it slightly.

(12,383 posts)It maybe a horror, but its also a wonderful sweet movie.
It appears the trump supporters are doing a ton of negative reviews on the readers section of
Rotten Tomatoes. There was a campaign on twitter to make this movie flop, to get back at Stephen
King for his dissing of trump.
Didnt work thankfully, $117 Million opening weekend.
