I just got back from a family reunion
This was held for a branch of my family that I have never really had much contact with. I had a very good time, and we had some great genealogical discussions. Very nice, friendly people, all of them. The gentleman of the house knows how to grill a fine burger. One of them sent me a Facebook friend request. I am always a bit wary about adding new family members, as I have so many fire-breathing right wingers as relatives, and nothing like political family squabbles. Thankfully, one of the first things that popped up was a post from a the state Democratic party. These are my mom's family, who were traditionally staunch Democrats, but you know how people change. WHEW! All in all, a good day!
