(777 posts)Years ago I worked for a GM dealer. Dispatcher gives the mechanic a repair order with a vague "check transmission" instruction. Mechanic brings the car in and puts it up on the lift. Then he calls the service writer over, picks up a big black marker and puts a check mark on the bottom of the transmission. "Anything else?"
