Happy May Day comrades.........

Not as much going on today as last year. Too bad. This was originally an American working class holiday and day of action that spread to the world. Now the world celebrates it, but it's not even known about here.

I must confess, though. I am a May Day socialist, just like I'm a Christmas christian, lol.

than being a year round right libertarian. Actually, I've discussed this very thing with some of my comrades in the group. The overall attitude was something along the lines of, "Oh just like wearing green on St. Patrick's Day?" And I said that that was a valid comparison. The difference is that Irish descent is or is not, whereas a few "May Day socialists" will actually read and study what it means to be a socialist and MIGHT decide they like it.

And YES, politically they were very far LEFT.

Sadly, both passed away more than 27 years ago.

Happy May Day to you socialist_n_TN.

I was just reading about some May Day activities from around the world, via Joe Shlabotnik's post in LBN.
