(7,700 posts)in the 1920's, from when she emigrated to the United States. We heard stories of people needing a barrow full of money to buy some butter.

(8,528 posts)of varying ages from very early 1900s through the 60s. There might be some earlier. I haven't had a chance to look through them yet. There were some walking liberty coins and a few old half-dollars that were so worn it was hard to tell what they were.
Her ex took them as payment for a job and was convinced they are worth a very silly amount of money. I told her to get them appraised for the divorce.
If anyone is interested, I will share anything unusual.
