And over the years come up with some old stuff. Two months ago I got a 1917 wheat penny in change at the grocery store. Pretty good shape. I’m not getting rich but I’m easily amused.

in the 1920's, from when she emigrated to the United States. We heard stories of people needing a barrow full of money to buy some butter.

of varying ages from very early 1900s through the 60s. There might be some earlier. I haven't had a chance to look through them yet. There were some walking liberty coins and a few old half-dollars that were so worn it was hard to tell what they were.

Her ex took them as payment for a job and was convinced they are worth a very silly amount of money. I told her to get them appraised for the divorce.

If anyone is interested, I will share anything unusual.

My grandfather had a great coin collection but it was stolen. I only have a few coins that he gave to me as a four year old child.
