Artist Greg Rutkowski just posted video on Bluesky of him varnishing a finished painting
This looks so cool I thought I'd post it here. If this sort of post isn't okay here, just let me know and I'll self-delete. Rutkowski posts some interesting videos. I first started paying attention to him after learning he was apparently the artist most victimized by AI companies and AI users, already in 2022 - https://www.technologyreview.com/2022/09/16/1059598/this-artist-is-dominating-ai-generated-art-and-hes-not-happy-about-it/ - and he now recommends Nightshade to protect art posted online from being ripped off for AI training: https://nightshade.cs.uchicago.edu/ and https://www.technologyreview.com/2023/10/23/1082189/data-poisoning-artists-fight-generative-ai/ . Artists should be using Glaze (software) as well: https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/what-is-glaze.html . People at the U of Chicago developed both tools to help protect artists from AI-using art thieves.
