Our Comcast put in a new system which is larger and easier to read but it has some bugs. It leaves a sentence up through several commercials or non-verbal scenes, is larger and blocks more screen and sometimes it is missing about half the dialog. I don't know if that last is the closed captioner or the system.

The old one could not do British accents so BBC had babel for closed captioning. They are generally quieter to begin with and then there is the language difference. A lot of "What did he say?" goes on here still.

An hour and a half in "And the killer is....#$%^&*(" Cue end music.

and it seems to be working now. I added a new component a while back. I guess I disturbed the delicate ecology of my system.
