Tyrone Power is A Yank in the R.A.F., Greer Garson in her iconic Mrs. Miniver, and later Albert Finney finds his Ebenezer in Hell in a musical of Dicken's Christmas Carol, Scrooge. The eyes follow you. It looks as it it were about to morph into the evil Dorian Gray!

The original painting has a nice pleasant smile. This one pulls that corner of the mouth down - the dissolution has begun.

3. Unexpected actor double feature!

I was just watching The Gay Divorcee, and among other delights, found the actor playing the waiter amusing. His name is Eric Blore, and he just strolled out onto the veranda in High Matrimony a decade later as Monty Wooley's valet. Sadly, the valet is about to snuff it, setting up the conceit of the movie, but Mr. Blore got an unexpected back to back. Let's hear it for the character actors!

'The Fallen Idol' this morning! I haven't seen it before, but it looks terrific- I did put it on my Netflix queue, so I'll get it at some point.

isn't a big sports fan. I have no qualms with those that are, but I'm not big into it, and he isn't either. We ARE both (!) very much looking forward to tonight's offering on 'Downton Abbey' though! We're both hooked!!
