1. The Professionals (1:15 am) is really about Viet Nam.

To explain my reasons for saying this fabulous film is an allegory would require too many spoiler alerts. Just start out by understanding that:

Ralph Bellamy is Lyndon B. Johnson.

He hires the best professionals he can find (the U.S. Armed Forces) to rescue his wife (South VietNam) who is being held captive by Raza, a ruthless Mexican mercenary (the Communist VietCong) across the border in Mexico.

This movie is an overlooked gem.
