And yes, Sam Jaffe plays the title character, who also plays Professor Barnhart in "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

It's a fun flick. It's "The Temple of Doom" without heart ripping outs and monkey brain dining. Otherwise a great flick.

Gunga Din is thrilling, without subjecting viewers to post-Production Code images and language, and it's got an emotional impact that I think a lot of post-code films can never achieve.

For some reason, though, I've never had the opportunity to sit down and watch the whole movie through, and the same is true of a couple of other very different classics, The Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia.
