All-Purpose Classic Films Academy Awards and "We Wuz Robbed!" Thread
Here's your chance to gush and kvetch about what you've loved and loathed about the Academy Awards -- the various hosts, strange production decisions, awkward moments, favorite Best Picture winners, great actors and director who never really got their due, subjects that remain underdiscussed, such as best short films. If you haven't seen anything in that last category, you are definitely in for a treat.

From my list:
Trailer for the Best Short Feature (Live Action), The Shore, from Northern Ireland.
Trailer for Sense and Sensibility, which was far more deserving of Best Picture than Braveheart.
But then so was Babe.
Henry V, winner for Best Costumes but worthy of more.
A really sad omission: Ian Holm wasn't even nominated for his searing performance in The Sweet Hereafter.
