Related: About this forumThis has to be, IMHO, one of the greatest guitarists and Live album recorded ever.
Pink Floyd Live.
One of the greatest things that Pink Floyd did was get rid of Russian loving Roger Waters and let David Gilmour take over as lead singer, unfortunately, the keyboardist, Richard Wright, died shortly after this album was recorded.

(2,272 posts)I must admit I haven't paid much attention to P.F. since The Wall. Thought they had shot their wad you know. Amazing and guess I'll be looking for this. Thanks for posting!

(65,121 posts)I watched the Pink Floyd episode of "Breaking The Band".
Waters actually sued those guys to prevent them from touring as PF, because he believed HE was Pink Floyd.
They won, of course.
I can't imagine how those Dave, Nick, & Rich were able to work with a tool like that for as long as they did.
David got really annoyed being left out as a songwriter & singer, and Richard got fired by Waters because he kept complaining about being left out of the creative process.
Separating themselves probably breathed a lot of life into the regrouped members.
And, Dave plays some very nice things, but his mastery of tone is what is absolutely top shelf.
