(35,955 posts)Not that it has anything to do with me being motivated enough to go search this one out, but while I love Radiohead, I don't much like Creep.
Enjoy...

(42,239 posts)The thing about Creep is that I've got fond memories of my children, who were in their early 20's when Radiohead released it, laughing their heads off when I sung along to it.
Aside from that the Senti-Mentals are local'ish so I know them. Their cover fascinated me late 90's when Paul , the singer , used strings for backup. Sans strings they played it live in Radiohead's home base pub in Oxford to a roar of approval from Radiohead fans.
Late '90s /early 2000's the Senti-Mentals described themselves as a neo doo wop band and their stuff was good to dance to.
Things quietened down for them but Paul kept a set of studio recording kept under wraps until 2010 when a later CD was released - remixed with the addition of Den Hegarty of Darts.

(1,805 posts)I was just coming over here to clear my head of all the Snowden BS to post this song. The whole fiasco really has me down for some reason. I don't know just how to say it, but this song grabs you and doesn't let go. Thom Yorke is amazing as is the whole band.
Unreal, the timing of this thread is perfect! Thanks for all the covers as well. I'll have to figure out how to get some of them, including the original on the Amazon player. I love the auto rip feature. Since we've bought the last 50+ CDs on Amazon, it automatically ripped them all to the Amazon player which my husband uses usually to work out to on his well used Nordic Track.
It saved me the time of getting them all on iTunes. Now I need to get an external CD player/recorder since my newer Macs didn't come with one. If anyone has a recommendation, I'd sure appreciate it.

(11 posts)No one can do creep better than Radiohead. No one can beat Thom. No one.
