8. Wonderful song. Saw them, incl. Duane perform for homecoming

at Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio on Sat. Oct. 16, 1971. Great event in the gym, the second to the last concert before Duane was lost. AB, an exceptional rock band from a magical era.

Two dollars? I realize that that's not 2 bucks in todays dollars. But it certainly isn't the 300-800 per ticket people charge now. And The Allmans in their prime? For what, 20 bucks today? I'm so in. I was born in the wrong generation man....

I also attended this one...and I swear it was a double bill with YES..I must be wrong...must be thinking of organ and flying blonde hair..2 bucks was high..some gigs went for $1.50....or less..and I get to brag forever I saw Duane...
