and so many more hits. The voice of Freddie Mercury WAS Queen. His vocal range, songwriting abilities still resonate today going on 28 years after his untimely death from AIDS. The film "Bohemian Rhapsody" brings it all back. Watch for Rami Malek to win the Oscar for Best Actor.
Thank goodness for Pandora Radio. I am listening to it now.

(16,786 posts)Have you seen "Bohemian Rhapsody" yet? One of the BEST films I have seen this year so far. Rami Malek portrayed Freddie with such preciseness. He captured Freddie to a tee. I was singing along to some of the songs.
There are few groups that have THE VOICE that distinguishes that group form the others when you hear it...
Freddie Mercury.....Queen
Steve Perry...........Journey
Lou Graham..........Foriegnor

(6,089 posts)Netflix List. Can't wait to see it. I was really disappointed when Sasha Baron Cohen didn't do it and could not visualize Rami Malek in that part, but what I have seen of it, I think he did an amazing job.

(51,559 posts)I'd forgotten how many great songs they had. Freddie had such a beautiful voice, so unique. They played this Don't Stop Me Now video as the credits rolled at the end of the movie and everyone stayed in the theater to watch it. It really showcases Freddie's magnificent voice and his many-octave range.

(4,544 posts)birthday present on opening weekend. That was a great experience! We all stood for a standing ovation and cheered at the end.
Rami Malek has already won the Golden Globe, and the film won Best Picture - Drama at the Globes. I'm hoping for a repeat of that at the Oscars later this month. It's up for film editing and a couple of sound Oscars, too.
It's being released on video this Tuesday (2/12). If you're a Freddie Mercury fan, this is a MUST SEE film!
And yes, I miss Freddie, too.

(3,424 posts)I watch Queen videos every day. They are all amazing and Freddie owned the stage and always had the crowd in the palm of his hand. And he was so handsome and sexy as hell!
